HaPpY MoThErS DaY!!!

Happy Mothers Day!!! With the special day set aside to honour our moms fast approaching I am remembering and missing my mom more than ever. For the first time in 32 years I will not have a mom to wish Happy Mothers Day too! Not a day goes by that I don't  think at least one of these: "I should ask mom,"or "I wonder what mom would say?" or "I can't wait to tell mom." My mom and I were very close, she has influenced my life in more ways than I realized.
I love Proverbs 31 and reading it in the past few days I saw more of my mom than ever before. She was a keeper of her home, she was busy teaching and preparing me and my siblings for life and ministry. This week I learned that the best way to arise and call her blessed is to live my life the way that would best please the Lord! My mom was the best mom I could have had and I thank God everyday for her. Happy Mothers Day Mom!!

There is one other lady that I have been saying Happy Mothers Day to for 10 years, and that is my wonderful mother-in-law!! Mindy LeClercq is the lady who gave birth to, and raised my incredible husband. She was my friend long before we were family. She has faced difficult  trials in her life and through them all I have watched her stay faithful to our wonderful Lord. She trained her son to love with all of his heart and all of his life, first his God and then his family. She is a wonderful Me-maw to her grandchildren and a wonderful mom to her sons, and a great mother-in-law to me and my sister-in-law.

In the last 6 months my mother-in-law has become even closer to me. She was right beside me through the most painful of days. She has cried with me, held me, and she has even said "I do not know what to say." She loves me like a daughter and yet she is very careful not to take my mom's place. I have affectionately called her Mindy-mom, a name that is dearer to me now more than ever!

Now, let me say that the last 8 years have been a constant learning experience!! I wake up everyday to 4 little people who call me mom, momma, and mommy. I am incredibly blessed to have been taught by the  best moms in the world. Luke 12:48 ...For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:" I have a great debt!
