My parents made sure that I learned to wait for God's will in my life. I did not "date" in high school, and honestly guys were not into me. I went to Bible college thinking "this is it, I am going to find my Prince and live happily ever after." I was there three and a half years before God brought me my Prince...Paul Michael LeClercq. (PJ)
Our story is really a hate-love story. We met the first day of school, and did not say another word to each other for 3 years. Through a seris of event, my parents joined the church that his parents were working at. I spent my summers helping PJ's parents in the youth group, he traveled with a singing group from our college. He thought I was a snob, treated me like one, so I in turn really did not care much about him.(do not worry, these are his with mine)
Around Thanksgiving of our third year something changed, PJ said hello to me! Then over Christmas break he asked me to come over to his house and play games with a group from the church! By the time we went back to school we both knew something was changing. On January 28th he asked me if he could call my dad, on February 10th he told me he loved me, (I told him on the 13th of February) he asked me marry him on March 31, and on December 20, 2002 we were married.
He is taller than me, by 2 inches, he is not dark, and he HATES John Wayne. However, he is so much more than I ever dreamed. He is my leader, my protector, my love, and my best friend. God was in charge and while I do not always wait on God, I did for my spouse and was blessed more than I ever dreamed. God proved one of his promises when He gave me my husband. "Psa 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. "
We are living our happily ever after every day!!
