Our 6 Month Update

We have been on Guam for half a year now! It is kinda crazy that it has been almost 7 months since we landed,  some days it seems like we just got here. I am busy being the wife, mother, and teacher that I always dreamed of being.
We started school 4 weeks ago, and so far things are going very smoothly! This year I have 3rd grade, 2nd grade and preschool!  I spent the summer reading and thinking and praying for guidance and I finally developed a schedule that works for us. We put it into practice 3 weeks before school started to work out the kinks, and so far it is working out great. My kids were blessed or cursed, however you want to look at it, with a mom who thrives on schedules!

We have seen God working in the lives of the Chammorro people too! My husband's best friend Dallas, who was called to preach, then turned to Satanism, has had some serious health issues. A month and half ago we received a phone call from Dallas's sister asking my husband to come to the hospital because Dallas would not allow her to call the priest. Assuming the worst, my husband raced to the hospital and the kids and I started praying very hard for Dallas. Two hours later, PJ calls to tell me that 1.) Dallas was not dying 2.)He knew he was saved and that he repented of his life style and returned like the prodigal son. Since then Dallas has come to church with us when his health will allow and has been tithing and asking my husband a lot of questions.
Our family had a very special evening a few weeks ago. PJ took us down to Inarajan and we went exploring the village and would stop and pray for the people of our village and for us as the Lord prepares us to move down south. This was one of the greatest things my husband could have done for our whole family. I watched my husbands heart for these people shine, and I watched my children develop a love for these same people through the example of their dad. When other pastors on the island hear where the Lord has called us they seriously tell us how hard it is going to be. The people are very lost in their Catholicism and witchcraft. Inarajan is a very oppressed area, however we have a Bible that is alive and I claim 1Jn 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Please continue to pray for our family. We are doing great and are so excited to see what the Lord is going to do here on Guam and in our family!
